Nuwara Eliya Golf Club was founded in 1889, he is one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia and probably the world. Nuwara Eliya Golf Club is situated in a valley near Nuwara Eliya, about 190 km from Colombo, situated 1,884 m high mountain in the heart of the tea plantations, the course is a challenge even for experienced golfers. The 18-hole course has a length of 6075 yards, par 71 The fairways are long and narrow, bordered by tall trees and dense shrubbery. Good positional play is required, and the terrain requires the player a constant uphill and downhill with many water hazards. The grass on the greens is local, mixed with bluegrass. On 4 and 11 You need about ten holes play the same stream.
